Sending a used item within Kenya: packing and delivery

How to pack and send a used item to a buyer in Kenya: protect it, agree who pays delivery, keep proof and only send once payment is confirmed on Bids Kenya.

If the buyer is not collecting, the way you pack and record the delivery protects you both.

Before you send

  • Wait until the platform shows the buyer’s balance payment as confirmed. Never send before.
  • Agree in the delivery plan on your order how the item will travel, when, and who pays for delivery.
  • Charge, wipe and reset devices as agreed, and remove personal data.

Packing

  • Wrap the item in soft padding and use a sturdy box with no empty space.
  • Protect screens and corners.
  • Take photos of the item and the packing before you seal it.
  • Label the parcel clearly with the buyer’s name and delivery details.

After you send

  • Keep the receipt or waybill and a photo of it.
  • Mark the order as sent on your dashboard.
  • Share the tracking or travel details with the buyer in the order messages.
