Pre-owned gaming gear auctions in Kenya

Win pre-owned gaming gear in Kenya: mechanical keyboards, mice, headsets, controllers, consoles, game discs and gaming chairs. Transparent auctions from KSh 500 with M-Pesa.

About gaming on Bids Kenya

Gamers upgrade often, and good gear ends up in drawers. Bids Kenya gives that gear a second home: sell what you no longer use, or bid for pre-owned gaming equipment at modest prices.

Look for mechanical keyboards, mice and mousepads, headsets and microphones, controllers and racing wheels, used consoles, physical game discs, capture cards, gaming chairs and monitor arms.

Tips for buying gaming

  • Check photos for wear on keys, buttons, sticks and earpads.
  • Ask the seller to confirm that everything works and what accessories are included.
  • For consoles, ask about the model, storage size and included controllers.
  • Remember that the winning price is capped at KSh 25,000.

Tips for selling gaming

  • Clean the item and photograph it from several angles.
  • Say how long you have used it and mention any faults, such as sticky keys or stick drift.
  • Include the original box, cables and extras if you still have them.
  • Only pre-owned items are allowed. New in-box stock is not.

How Bids Kenya protects buyers and sellers

Only genuinely pre-owned items are allowed, and every listing is reviewed before it goes live. Bids start from KSh 500 and every auction is capped at KSh 25,000. A refundable 10% good-faith deposit keeps out time-wasters, and it is returned automatically if you do not win.

Winners pay the balance to Bids Kenya, not the seller. The seller sends the item once payment is confirmed and is paid after you confirm you have received it. Read more in how auctions work, buyer protection and the prohibited items list.

Gaming: frequently asked questions

Can I sell my old console or controllers?

Yes. Used consoles, controllers, wheels, headsets and other gaming gear can be listed for free, as long as the item is genuinely pre-owned and yours to sell.

Can I sell game discs?

Physical game discs are an eligible category. Describe the title, platform and condition clearly, and show the disc and case in your photos.

What if the item is not as described?

Ask the seller for extra photos or a video after you win. If the item differs materially from the listing, open a dispute before confirming receipt and an administrator will review the evidence.

How do I bid on an auction?

Open the gaming auction you like, enter your bid and click Place bid. Your bid is recorded straight away and goes live once you pay a refundable 10% good-faith deposit with M-Pesa from your dashboard.

What is the 10% deposit and do I get it back?

The deposit is a small good-faith (earnest money) payment of 10% of your bid. It keeps out time-wasters. If you do not win, your full deposit is refunded to your M-Pesa as soon as the auction closes. If you win, it counts toward the price and you pay the remaining 90%.

How and when do I pay if I win?

You pay the remaining 90% to Bids Kenya through M-Pesa within 72 hours. The seller sends the item only after your payment is confirmed, and the seller is paid only after you confirm you have received it.

Is there a limit on prices?

Yes. Bids start from KSh 500 and every auction is capped at KSh 25,000, so Bids Kenya stays a place to pass on pre-owned items at modest prices.
